I live in the North Island of New Zealand. Horses have always been a big part of my life and I'm constantly on the lookout to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. I've been working as a saddle fitter for many years and my aim is always to source good quality saddles that fit well and are comfortable for both horse and rider.

I came across SMART saddles when my daughter started riding a ¾ gypsy cob which was very hard to fit. I have been so impressed by the fit and the changes I've seen in her pony since she started riding in a SMART saddle, that I decided I wanted to make these saddles more available for riders in New Zealand.

I've since fitted the SMART saddles to many different ponies and horses of various shapes, sizes and breeds and have been very impressed by how well they fit. I've observed positive changes in attitude, behaviour and movement in the ponies and horses now being ridden in SMART Saddles.

I'm really loving the SMART Saddles, they continually amaze me because I'm seeing such amazing changes in the horses and ponies I'm fitting them to. The latest being our 14.1h Welsh pony -the way he moved in the SMART Saddle was so much better it, was hard to believe it was the same pony. With the SMART Saddle he moved out so much more, wasn't tight and relaxed quickly - he was just so much happier within himself, it was so awesome to see!  

The size 2 SMART saddle is gorgeous, super cute! I wish I'd know about SMART Saddles when my daughter was little riding small ponies, finding good small pony saddle back then was a nightmare!

I love the company and the research and development they have put into creating a fully flexible saddle that is easy to fit and beneficial for both horse and rider.
