A saddle designed to adapt as your horse changes. Handmade in the UK, SMART Saddles offer a different approach to saddle design. Our patented SMART FlexTech system uses a fully flexible, impact-absorbing construction, without a rigid tree, designed to adapt to the horse's changing shape and movement.
By combining flexibility with an integrated balance and fitting system, SMART Saddles aim to support the rider in an effective and balanced position as horses develop through training, changes in fitness and seasonal variation.
Developed with equine comfort, welfare and performance at its core, SMART Saddles are available to customers worldwide.
From broad, low-withered natives and cobs to narrower sports horses with more defined wither shape, SMART Saddles offer two different base designs to accommodate a full range of conformations.
With a choice of saddle styles for discipline specific and multi-discipline riding, the SMART Saddle range combines Flextech technology with adaptable fitting options to suit individual horse and rider requirements.
We can help your find the optimal configuration for your horse's conformation, your riding style supported by our easy-fit system.

"I have a small yard in South Africa producing horses and ponies of all different shapes and sizes, from 13hh to 17hh and saddles were always the bane of my life. It is such an important part of the horses’ welfare but to have a saddle for every horse was not feasible. I came across SMART Saddles after researching how I was going to solve this problem.
The mare pictured had had a saddle on that was really hurting her and was (understandably) bucking her rider off. After a couple of weeks of groundwork and introducing the SMART Saddle she is a happy, willing girl.".
