Jayne has been riding from an early age, eventing her Connemara ponies up to 100cm before getting a passion for Dressage. She was given the ride on a Medium schoolmaster horse 7 years ago who became her true four-legged best friend. Together they worked hard to achieve great things, they danced to many tests together and competed to PSG, a goal Jayne set herself during covid. Having retired her friend Dreamer from the higher levels a few years ago, she passed him on to her younger sister so he could teach her the love of Dressage, too.
Jayne now rides her own warmblood at Elementary/ Medium and has been fortunate to get rides on various other horses - all working at different levels.
Her latest addition is a very sweet Hanoverian mare owned by Rachel Crook. She is now stabled at Jayne’s family run livery yard and, in the few months they have been together, they have competed at the Area Festivals and were placed in both the Elementary and Medium. The winter months will be spent training with the aim to go out competing in the spring at higher levels.
Jayne was introduced to SMART Saddles in November 2024 for her big moving warmblood, Gary, who was hard to fit a saddle to. He is very sensitive but accepted the SMART Elite Dressage saddle brilliantly - it has made a great difference.
After seeing such great results, Jayne started riding all her horses in the SMART saddle - with great progress and success for all of them. She is now trying it on her old boy Dreamer to help him maintain condition under saddle.
Jayne has passed her level 2 coaching and has started teaching, hoping to pass on her passion to other people and youngsters. She loves training her own horses and very much enjoys riding owner’s horses; she thrives from the difference she can make on each one.
