A Saddle for Smiles: Introducing the SMART™ Native VSD

When considering a SMART™saddle, the thing that resonated with me was SMART™ Saddles’ Comfort / Performance / Welfare statements, as I was looking for a saddle to allow my Fell pony Victor to use himself to the best of his ability. With no experience of flexible saddles, I was interested to see riders using and loving them on social media and I liked that there was a range specifically for native ponies.

I booked a Test Ride with my local SMART™ Advisor, who was great and took time to explain how the saddles worked and let me ride in a range of trial saddles. Following this, I opted for a two-week Rental of my preferred saddle The SMART™Native VSD.

During my trial, the saddle was used for hacking and flatwork lessons, and I was pleased that both of us found it to be really comfortable. But, just to be on the safe side, I had, our Equine Physiotherapist out to check Victor coincidentally, he had also been checked the day of our saddle fitting. I was over the moon when she was delighted to see how well Victor was moving and how his muscles felt after riding in the saddle for just 2 weeks.
