SMART Ambassador Jadine Huxtable

Jadine and Onyx (@what_the_fell) are a mother and British native pony combo who have been in each other’s lives since Onyx was only 6 months old.

Forever looking for the most welfare-led products for Onyx, Jadine came across SMART Saddles after finding that other saddle makes were unable to help with Onyx’s unique shape and size; very short backed and very wide. His saddles didn’t fit him properly and Jadine was forced to ride in a child’s saddle which caused a host of issues for her as a rider.  

 

Four years later, the pair have come on leaps and bounds now that they are both comfortable in a SMART Saddle and after only 8 weeks of affiliated competition, not only have they qualified for the Winter Pet Plan Area Festivals, but after their first Riding Club outing, they’ve also been invited to ride at the British Riding Club Intermediate Dressage Championships at Arena UK. 

Their plans for this year are to continue to enjoy their dressage and hopefully qualify for the summer area festivals as well as continue to support their local riding club. To mix it up in their SMART Native GP saddle, they also plan of entering more hunter trials this year after winning their first one last year.
