We weren’t having any problems with our current saddles, but I always felt that things could be better!

"I swapped over to SMART Saddles for both of my Thoroughbreds a few months ago.

Having had problems with saddles and saddle fitters previously, I am always very cautious of trying anything new, and although we weren’t having any problems with our current saddles, I always felt that things could be better!

 

As the horse pictured is an ex-racehorse, he unfortunately came with slight imbalances from racing injuries. But I feel like SMART saddles really work with those imbalances rather than fighting against them like I used to find with traditional saddles.

 

I feel much straighter and have found their backs to be much softer after riding which hopefully means it will allow them to strengthen and even out their muscles as they develop.

 

Both horses come out and move really freely straight away now, rather than taking 5-10 minutes before they start to feel loose as with their old saddles.

 

It’s so nice to not have to worry that the saddle might be causing any issues, and instead we can concentrate on maintaining their bodywork and strengthening programmes. Being able to test ride these saddles for a couple of weeks before committing to purchasing was also a huge bonus."
