Buying a SMART Saddle in the USA: 2025

Importing a saddle from the UK may seem daunting, but with SMART Saddles’ customer-friendly process, it needn’t be. For your peace of mind, all SMART saddles sold on our ‘Buy & Try’ service, with full support from SMART HQ or your local SMART Advisor.

To keep SMART Saddles as accessible as possible at our lowest price point, we have updated our order process. You will still be able to pay in $USD and take advantage of our two-week Buy & Try, however the saddle price will no longer include shipping and import duty.

How much will shipping and duties cost?

A $200 charge will be applied for shipping saddles from the UK, and you should expect to be contacted by customs directly to pay the import duty on arrival to the US. The tariff on saddlery goods imported from the UK to the USA is 10% of the total value (excluding shipping).

• Door to door shipping is typically 5 - 7 days from the UK to the USA (subject to items being in stock)
• We recommend that clients are proactive in communication with customs to avoid delays

• Saddles can be returned to designated addresses in the USA or the UK

• If you decide to return the saddle following a 2-week 'Buy & Try' a depreciation and restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.
