“I have 2 SMART saddles now and love them.
Saxon is now 8 and a lot more mature, he has done some amazing things since we first purchased a SMART Saddle. He has been Working Hunter Champion, Ridden Champion several times at Agricultural shows and moved up the levels in dressage - and his back is in excellent condition.
We have competed at the British Dressage Associated Championships for the past 2 years, where he has been placed in the top 3 for Prelim Gold and Novice Silver for Part Bred Mountain & Moorland and Part Bred TGCA (Traditional Gypsy Cob Association).
I am a Garde 4 Para dressage rider and together we have qualified for the Summer Championships at Hartpury, goingon to be Garde 4 National Champion. We have recently come back from the Para Winer Championships at Myerscough wherehe went even better and was Grade 4 National l Champion and Grade 4 Freestyle to Music National Champion! He has even featured in the British Dressage magazine with his Associated Championship results and his Para Results.
We have qualified again for the Regionals at Prelim in 2 outings, the Petplan Championships at Novice Music, Elementary Music and hope to get my last qualification for Novice and Elementary too. I am now concentrating mostly on dressage due to my legs no longer being strong enough for jumping. We are representing Scotland in the Para Home Nations team at Arena UK in June.
Saxon has benefited from the SMART saddles as they allow freedom of movement and are lighter for the horse. He also has one side of his wither bigger than the other since birth, which previously made other saddles sit squint and we both had to compensate. With the SMART saddle, it’s really easy to attach a slim shim to the numnah to balance this on the opposite side. As Saxon muscles and develops through the years, I have not had to change my saddles.”
